The short version: this site counts visits without cookies or tracking scripts, the app sends almost nothing, and nothing is ever sold or shared.

This website

When you open a page, the server notes which page it was, the site that linked you here if your browser says, any campaign tag in the link, your browser, operating system and kind of device, the language your browser asks for, and the time.

There are no cookies, no tracking scripts and nothing stored on your device. Your IP address is never saved. To tell one visit from another on the same day, the server mixes your IP address and browser with a random value that's replaced every night, and keeps only the scrambled result. Once that value is gone, nobody can work out who it was, me included, and a visit today can't be linked to one tomorrow.

It's used for one thing: seeing which pages help and where people find NumpadBoard. The numbers are kept for about 13 months and never shared.

Buying

Checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, who take the payment and handle tax. This server gets your name and email address so it can send your licence key, along with which visit to this site led to the purchase, so I can tell which pages and links work.

The app

NumpadBoard doesn't make you create an account and sends no usage data. It only contacts this server to activate a licence, to renew a monthly licence, and to check for updates. An update check sends nothing but the version number, and you can turn it off in Settings. The licence agreement that comes with the installer has the full detail.
